The device adopts the capacitive principle. The capacitive sensor is composed of inner and outer electrodes (equivalent to two plates of capacitance) and circuit parts. When the oil is mixed with water or ponding, the capacitance composed of inner and outer electrodes changes significantly due to the great difference in dielectric constants. The sensor circuit generates a stable amplitude high-frequency square wave. When the capacitance value changes, the square wave frequency changes. After processing, amplifying and comparing the signal, the corresponding alarm signal is output.
